A measurement error of even a few millimetres means the product won't fit correctly — and custom-made window coverings can't be returned or exchanged. What Happens at the Measure Visit

We arrive at the agreed time and work through each opening you want to cover. For roller shutters, we measure the full opening width and height, check the wall depth above the opening for the housing box, assess the fixing substrate (brick, rendered block, lightweight framing, or timber), and look at power access for motorised options.

For outdoor blinds, we assess the pergola, alfresco, or opening dimensions, check the structural points available for mounting, look at whether any fixed obstacles affect the blind run, and discuss which blind type will work best for the sun direction, wind exposure, and intended use.

While we're there, we can bring samples of available products and fabrics. Seeing a real slat or fabric swatch at your property — in your actual light conditions — gives a much better sense of how it will look than viewing photos online.

At the end of the visit, we have everything needed to calculate a price. Most quotes are provided within 24 hours of the measure. Larger commercial or multi-unit jobs may take a day or two longer.

What the Written Quote Covers

The quote specifies the product, the dimensions, the colour or finish selected, the hardware (motor specification, winder type, remote control if applicable), and the full installed price. There are no line items that get added later. If something is included in the quote, it's included in the price.

The only exception is if you ask us to change the specification after the quote is issued — a different fabric, an upgraded motor, additional remotes. Any change to what was quoted results in a revised quote before manufacturing begins, so you always know what you're approving.

Quotes are valid for 30 days. Perth supply and manufacturing costs can shift, so we don't hold prices indefinitely — but 30 days gives you time to compare quotes or discuss with a partner or building team before committing.
